Recently, we had the honor of working with a client who wanted to repurpose a 14k yellow gold necklace adorned with round rubies and marquise diamonds that her mother had gifted her many years ago. With her daughter's birthday approaching, she knew it would be incredibly special to use the stones from this family heirloom to create something unique and meaningful.
During our consultation, we discussed how to best honor the sentimental value of the necklace while crafting a piece that her daughter could treasure every day. We decided to carefully remove the marquise diamonds from the necklace, as their size and elegance felt perfect for a young girl. We then designed a beautiful bezel set eternity band, incorporating these diamonds into a ring that is both timeless and fitting for a teenager.
This new ring not only shines with beauty but also carries the love and legacy of her mother and grandmother. It serves as a daily reminder of the strong bond between generations, allowing her daughter to keep a piece of her family close to her heart.
In addition, we saved the gold and rubies that weren’t used in this project for future creations. This ensures that the remaining elements of the heirloom can be transformed into another special piece down the road.
